One of the fundamental building blocks of a healthy life is the health of the spine, nerves, and brain. Many diseases, from lumbar disc herniation to cervical disc herniation, from nerve compression to brain tumors, can be successfully managed with timely diagnosis, proper treatment, and an effective rehabilitation process.
The information on these pages is intended not only to help you understand health problems but also to enable you to consciously participate in the treatment process. It should be remembered that every disease can progress differently in each individual. Therefore, a personalized evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plan is of vital importance.
Lumbar Disc Herniation
A lumbar disc herniation can be described as the tearing of the disc between the vertebrae in the lower back, compressing the nerves. This condition usually causes severe lower back pain and pain radiating down the leg. Herniation can occur at any level of the spine.
Cervical Disc Herniation
Between the spinal bones, called vertebrae, there is a gelatinous substance responsible for absorbing shock waves during movement. The displacement of this substance towards the spinal canal due to damage in the disc structure is defined as herniation.
Spondylolisthesis
Spondylolisthesis is the forward slippage of an upper vertebra over the one below it. It occurs with aging and wear and tear. Spondylolisthesis can often be accompanied by "spinal stenosis." It is generally seen in children and middle-aged or older individuals.
Brain Tumor
Tumors that originate from the brain tissue itself, from the nerves within the brain, from the membranes of the brain, from the skull bone surrounding the brain, or from the muscle tissue around the skull are called primary brain tumors. Cancers from other organs of the body (such as lung, breast, prostate, etc.) that spread to the brain are called metastases or secondary brain tumors.
Spinal Canal Stenosis
Bone and spine health are of great importance in maintaining people's overall health and preventing a decline in their quality of life. Therefore, attention should be paid to spinal health. However, as a result of various reasons, different problems can arise in the spinal bones. One of the most important diseases among these problems is spinal stenosis.
Nerve Compression
Nerve compression occurs as a result of tissues such as tendons, bones, and cartilage in the human body pressing on the nerves. Nerve compressions are called entrapment neuropathy.
